Back in 2016, Jordan Brand designed a few special edition Air Jordan Retro colorways for the grand opening of Marcus Jordan’s Trophy Room store. One of the models included was the Air Jordan 5.

For 2019, Trophy Room is set to release two new Air Jordan 5 colorways. One comes dressed in “Ice Blue/Sail-Metallic Gold-University Red” and the other in “University Red/Ice Blue-Sail-University Red.” 

One pair features an Ice Blue upper with University Red accents atop a Sail midsole, while the other sports a University Red upper with Ice Blue accents atop a Black midsole. Both are completed with Trophy Room branding and embroidered number “5” on the heels atop icy translucent outsoles.

Editor’s Notes: TROPHY ROOM's much-anticipated Air Jordan 5 is finally scheduled to release this weekend. Ahead of the launch we get a closer, official look at the sneaker, which Marcus Jordan reveals is inspired by his dad Michael Jordan's trophy room.

The shoe was a homage to Jordan's iconic Chicago Bulls kit and would have been a perfect match had it released in 1990. An upper comprised of a luscious red suede madethe perfect backdrop for the other elements to work against. The clear mesh panel, rich red laces and 3M reflective tongue helped layer the sneaker.

First, make sure the shoes are manufactured with the factory codes LN3 (China) or FT1 (Taiwan) stamped on the tag. Also make sure the box has the same manufacturing country. Make sure the style number on the box matches the one on the shoe tag.
