Before Travis Scott infiltrated the sneaker scene and put his magical touch on the Air Jordan 1, the silhouette itself was never really inclined to lean on that of earthy tones for stylization. However, given the forceful influence of the Houston-born rapper which has his set of collaborations continuing to climb up the resell ladder, his taste in color palette now has a lasting effect which in turn will, for consumers who couldn’t get their hands on his pairs, naturally allow them to gravitate towards colorways that are remotely close. And that’s where this next Retro High OG colorway comes in.

Dubbed the “Dark Mocha” colorway, this upcoming iteration sports the ever-popular “Black Toe” inspired color-blocking with white smooth leathers, stealthy forefoot overylays, Swooshes, and shoe strings, and pairs them accordingly with ankle flaps and heel panels swamped in coffee-like browns. Moreover, finishing touches arrive by way of even more black complements seeing to the ball-and-wings insignias, treading, and liners. Lately, we have seen leaks of new Jordan 1’s that will arrive next year and nothing looks to change as another edition has just surfaced. Jordan Brand looks to release the Air Jordan 1 “Dark Mocha” that definitely has taken inspiration from the Travis Scott 1’s.

If the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1’s hadn’t dropped yet, we would be wondering if these would be it. The Cactus Jack effect has definitely gotten us all as anything with Dark Mocha and Sail we immediately correlate the two. It’s safe to say La Flame has made it and created his signature look. Now that his Jordan 1 sold out and now is reselling for well over 1k, Jordan Brand looks to give us a second chance to cop the coveted look without the collab next Summer.

Although we have no leaked photos of what the silhouette could look like @zsneakerheadz has given us a mock-up of what we could expect to see and it looks great. Arriving with Sail paneling across the midfoot and toe, Dark Mocha overlays shine throughout as they contrast perfectly. Black then is added in on the laces, and Nike Swoosh which is the last piece of the puzzle.

AIR JORDAN 1 “DARK MOCHA” RELEASE INFORMATION

As of now, we do not have much information regarding the release just that it is expected to arrive in the Summer of 2020. They will likely be available at select retailers and the Nike SNKRS app for a retail price of $160, Regardless of the influence Travis played on these, they are definitely a great pick up for anyone so expect to see these sell out very fast.
